The Plateau State Government has strongly condemned a recent attack on traders identified as Fulani herders returning from the Bukuru Kara Livestock Market. The incident occurred around the State Low-Cost housing area in Bukuru, resulting in the death of two persons and injuring eight others. The Commissioner of Police, Plateau State Command, CP Ayodeji Faniyan, has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Department of Investigations to take full charge of the investigation. The police have mobilized tactical teams and anti-robbery teams to beef up security in the area and stepped up intelligence to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
