The 7th edition of Forsastreet was held on September 19-20, 2026, at the Cité de la Culture in Tunis, gathering over 700 participants with the goal of connecting young people with opportunities in education, employment, entrepreneurship, and international mobility. The event was co-organized by the Tuniso-German Centre for Migration and Development (ZME) and the National Agency for Employment and Independent Work (ANETI). This edition follows six previous editions held in Tunis, Kairouan, and Sfax, which have reached nearly 2,500 participants since its launch in 2023.
The event saw significant involvement from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with around 280 young people from the Greater Tunis area and the governorates of Bizerte, Zaghouan, and Nabeul participating. Forsastreet aims to create a space accessible to young people with different profiles and backgrounds, including students, job seekers, young people in career transition, project leaders, and those interested in international opportunities.
At the heart of the event was an interactive labyrinth, composed of 40 panels and organized around eight themes, allowing visitors to explore different possibilities, including education, vocational training, higher education, employment, entrepreneurship, international placement, return and reintegration, and opportunities in Germany. Advisors were present to accompany participants and provide them with information tailored to their situation.
The two-day event also featured practical workshops and information sessions led by several partners. Participants were able to learn about studies and scholarships in Germany, vocational training and employment opportunities, apprenticeships, Erasmus+, job search techniques, building a professional project, and international mobility opportunities.
One of the novelties of this edition was an immersive virtual reality experience offered by the Tuniso-German Centre, allowing visitors to discover, in an interactive way, the different stages of a regular migration project to Germany, from project preparation to installation and integration.
This 7th edition marks an important step in the evolution of Forsastreet, with the gradual transfer of services from the Tuniso-German Centre to ANETI, with the aim of allowing ANETI to manage and perpetuate this initiative in the long term, while consolidating a multi-actor approach to guidance and support for young people.
With over 700 participants in two days, Forsastreet 2026 confirms the interest of a space that allows young people to meet directly with the actors concerned, ask questions, and concretely explore the different possibilities available to them. The ambition for future editions is now to consolidate this dynamic around ANETI and to strengthen sustainably the cooperation between the different actors of guidance, in order to bring information and opportunities closer to young people throughout Tunisia.
