A three-day Christian conference held at Makerere College of Business and Computer Studies in Rukungiri, Uganda, concluded with over 60 students receiving Jesus Christ as their Saviour. The conference, themed "Know Your Identity" and derived from 1 Peter 2:9, took place from Friday and ended on a high note. The event featured various speakers, including Rev. Arthur Omarah, Parish Priest of Nyamifura Church of Uganda, who emphasized the importance of having God in one's life.

Rev. Arthur Omarah, the main speaker at the conference, urged students to forsake worldly sins and remain steadfast in their faith. He emphasized that God wants people to have Him in their lives and to lead a virtuous life. Rev. Omarah's message resonated with the students, who were inspired to make a commitment to Christ. The conference provided a platform for students to reflect on their values and priorities.

Rev. Ezra Nabiimanya, a student at Canon Ndimbirwe Bible College, also addressed the students at the conference. He noted that God had chosen them to reach their current level and would continue to lift them up if they remained committed to their faith. Rev. Nabiimanya encouraged the students to trust in God's plan for their lives, even in times of hardship.

The conference was attended by a number of clergy, parents, leaders, and representatives from other invited institutions and secondary schools around Rukungiri District. The event was organized by the college, with support from its Director, Ven. Ronald Natuhwera, and the school management. The conference aimed to promote spiritual growth and discipline among the students.

According to Missionary William Ainomugisha, the Registrar of Makerere College of Business and Computer Studies, the annual conference helps to keep students in good discipline, which in turn enhances their academic performance.
