A sensitization program was held in Ouagadougou on September 24, 2026, for over 50 young female footballers. The event, organized by GenitCare Africa and its partners, aimed to contribute to the personal, health, and professional development of young female athletes. The program covered essential topics such as civic responsibility, reproductive health, digital entrepreneurship, and local product valorization.

The event was sponsored by Dr. Sidibé Alice, a researcher in nutrition and food at the Institute of Environment and Agricultural Research (INERA). As a former footballer and captain of the national team, Dr. Alice emphasized the importance of discipline, patience, and self-mastery in football. She expressed her willingness to share her experience with young generations and praised the initiative as noble and valuable.

The first communication session focused on reproductive health in sports, led by Dr. Josiane Ouédraogo, a gynecologist-obstetrician and president of GenitCare Africa. The session covered three main axes: body awareness, healthy behaviors, and the role of sports in promoting reproductive health. The goal was to enable participants to understand the specifics of their athletic practice and its potential impact on their health.

The program also addressed breast cancer awareness, with the presenter emphasizing the importance of early detection and treatment. Participants were taught how to perform self-examinations and recognize signs of alert, such as unusual changes in breast shape, color, or texture. They were encouraged to consult a healthcare professional if they noticed any anomalies and to share this information with their peers.

The session on civism and patriotism was led by Ousmane Sawadogo, Director of Communication and Public Relations at the Grand Chancellery of Burkinabé Orders. He discussed the significance and proper use of national symbols, such as the national anthem, coat of arms, flag, and motto. Sawadogo emphasized that young athletes must embody values of discipline, honor, courage, and patriotism both on and off the field.

The digital communication session, led by Ouremi Zoundi, focused on online elegance and responsible use of social media platforms. Zoundi highlighted the impact of social media posts on one's reputation and the opportunities these platforms offer for developing income-generating activities. He encouraged participants to leverage social media to build their reputation and seize professional opportunities.

The organizers of the program aim to empower young female footballers with essential knowledge and skills for their personal and professional growth. By covering topics such as reproductive health, civism, and digital literacy, the initiative seeks to support the development of well-rounded and responsible individuals. The program is part of GenitCare Africa's efforts to promote health, education, and entrepreneurship among young people.
