Ibero Uganda, a leading player in the coffee industry, has announced a new job opportunity for recent graduates in Uganda. The company is offering a 24-month Origin Coffee Trainer program, designed to accelerate professional growth through hands-on experience, skills development, and networking. The program is open to candidates with a bachelor's degree in agribusiness, economics, or finance, and a maximum of two years of working experience.

The Origin Coffee Trainer program is part of Neumann Kaffee Gruppe's (NKG) efforts to develop future leaders in the coffee supply chain. NKG is a global green coffee services group with 50 companies across 26 countries and over 2,600 colleagues. The program offers a structured career development path, with rotations across various departments, including procurement and quality, sustainability and compliance, trading and market analysis, logistics and export operations, and finance and accounting.

During the program, trainees will gain practical exposure through job rotations, blended learning, mentoring, and coaching from leaders and experts. They will also work on special projects and a capstone project, which involves identifying, developing, and presenting a real business challenge to senior leadership. Past examples of capstone projects include growing sales in specific markets, deploying technology to improve operational efficiencies, and developing sustainability initiatives that improve the livelihoods of coffee farmers.

The program offers a range of benefits, including an attractive salary, flexible working hours, and international exposure. Trainees will spend time embedded in an NKG destination-market office abroad, gaining first-hand insight into how roasters and customers evaluate quality, negotiate contracts, and plan purchasing. They will also build cross-border relationships and commercial perspective, essential for future origin leaders.

To succeed in the program, candidates should have exceptional interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a curious, strong learning mindset. They should also be adaptable, resilient, and willing to work across cultures and geographies. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Kiswahili or Luganda is an added advantage.

Interested applicants can apply online through the Ugandan Jobline website. The deadline for applications is October 23, 2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. The program offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates to launch their careers in the coffee industry and develop the skills and expertise needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving market.

The Origin Coffee Trainer program is one of several job opportunities currently available in Uganda's agriculture and finance sectors. Other job openings include positions for operations interns, project officers, and graduate trainees. Candidates can visit the Ugandan Jobline website for more information on these and other job opportunities.
