Delta State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, has praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's administration for empowering people at the grassroots level through ward councillors. The programme, tagged "Reaching Out To The Grassroots", aims to involve everyone, starting with councillors, to empower their people in various wards across the 25 local government areas of the state. Onyeme made this statement at the Utagba-Ogbe Ward 1 Councillor empowerment programme in Ndokwa West Local Government Area.
According to Onyeme, the empowerment programme will continue from the councillors to the highest level, involving all elected political office holders. He urged the people to support President Bola Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a party. Onyeme noted that the current government is a good one, with various empowerment programmes ongoing in every local government area.
The Deputy Governor emphasized the importance of supporting the APC, stating that those who know the road will show and lead others to the right way. The chairman appreciated and empowered both men and women in the ward to add to their businesses.

Councillor representing Ward 1, Utagba-Ogbe, Hon. Jude Osakwuni Uti, expressed gratitude to the State Governor, his Deputy, and the Chairman of Ndokwa West for the empowerment programme. He noted that 200 persons would receive ₦50,000 each and appealed to those who did not benefit from this phase to be patient, assuring them that everyone would eventually get a turn.
