The Ondo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has set up a 228-member Presidential Campaign Council to drive grassroots mobilisation and secure victory for President Bola Tinubu and all party candidates in the forthcoming polls. This move is part of the party's efforts to strengthen support for the ruling party's Renewed Hope Agenda. The council brings together experienced political leaders, stakeholders, women and youth leaders, support groups, and grassroots mobilisers from across the state.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa will chair the council, with several high-ranking officials serving as Vice Chairmen. These include Deputy Governor Olayide Adelami, Speaker Olamide Oladiji, and ministers such as Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, Prof. Taiwo Oyedele, and Ayodele Olawande. The party has stressed that the development is expected to further unite APC stakeholders and supporters across the state towards a successful electioneering campaign.

Victor Olabimtan, a former Speaker of the Ondo State Assembly, has been named Director-General of the campaign council, with Olumuyiwa Adu serving as Deputy Director-General. Other notable members of the council include former Governor Olusegun MimOlabimtan, Senator Jide Ipinsagba, and Chief Pius Akinyelure, who chairs the Governor's Advisory Council (GAC).

The council also includes federal lawmakers such as Ife Ehindero, Adegboyega Adefarati, Timehin Adelegbe, Derin Adesida, Festus Akingbaso, Abiola Makinde, Festus Adefiranye, Okunjimi Odimayo, and Donald Ojogo. Additionally, former deputy governors, past gubernatorial candidates, and former ministers such as Omolade Oluwateru, Alli Olanusi, and Agboola Ajayi are also part of the council.

Senator Nimbe Farukanmi will chair the APC Elders Forum, while other former senators listed as members include Gbenga Ogunniya, Remi Okunrinboye, Titus Olupitan, Robert Ajayi Boroffice, Yele Omogunwa, and Boluwaji Kunlere. Local council chairmen, including Mohammed Mutiu, Gbenga Fasua, Ayotunde Akinfolarin, and Andrew Ogunsakin, are also members of the campaign council.

Ola Oguntimehin has been named secretary of the council. The party has expressed confidence that the council's composition will enhance its chances of success in the 2027 general elections. The council is expected to coordinate campaign activities and strengthen support for the ruling party.

The Ondo APC's move is seen as a strategic effort to ensure a successful electioneering campaign. With a diverse group of experienced leaders and stakeholders, the party is positioning itself for victory in the 2027 polls. Key appointments to the council were announced by the Chairman of the party in the state, Kolawole Babatunde.
