Swiss luxury watchmaker Omega has expanded its partnership with the James Bond franchise by introducing two new Seamaster Diver 300M watches. The watches, one inspired by James Bond and the other by Spectre, mark a new chapter in Omega's long-standing relationship with the iconic film series. Both watches boast a 42mm diameter case made of stainless steel, with a thickness of 14.23mm and a lug-to-lug length of 50mm.

The James Bond and Spectre watches feature distinct designs, starting with their lugs and bezels. The James Bond watch has a titanium grade 5 bezel with a laser-ablated diving scale, while the Spectre watch features a black ceramic bezel with a 60-minute graduation. Both watches have a helium-escaping valve at 10 o'clock and a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment. The watches are water-resistant up to 300 meters, consistent with the Seamaster Diver 300M collection.

The dials of the two watches showcase their unique designs. The James Bond watch features a blue aluminum dial with laser-engraved wave patterns, reminiscent of early Seamaster Professional 300M watches from the 1990s. The dial is adorned with rhodium-plated and diamond-polished indexes, as well as skeletonized hands. The watch also features a Super-LumiNova white luminous display with blue and green accents. In contrast, the Spectre watch has a black aluminum dial with a grained finish, paired with a black ceramic bezel.

The movements behind the two watches are identical, powered by Omega's caliber 8806 automatic movement. The movement operates at a frequency of 25,200 alternations per hour and features a coaxial escapement, a free-spiral balance wheel, and a silicon spiral. The caliber 8806 is certified as a chronometer by the COSC and meets the Master Chronometer standards set by METAS. The movement provides a 55-hour power reserve and can withstand magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss.

One of the notable features of the watches is their customized oscillating weights. The James Bond watch features an oscillating weight shaped like a revolver cannon, while the Spectre watch has a weight resembling the octopus logo of the Spectre organization. Both watches come with a brushed steel mesh bracelet and a folding clasp. The watches' case backs are made of sapphire, allowing for a view of the movement and the customized oscillating weights.

Omega is also releasing limited-edition platinum and gold versions of the watches, each paired with a steel version in a special box set. The box sets, limited to 77 pieces, feature a steel watch with an individual number plate and a platinum-gold watch with a ceramic bezel and an alligator leather strap. The platinum-gold watches have a slightly thicker case and feature a guilloché pattern on the dial.

The new Seamaster Diver 300M watches inspired by James Bond and Spectre showcase Omega's commitment to innovative design and precision engineering. With their unique designs, advanced movements, and rich history with the James Bond franchise, these watches are sure to appeal to collectors and fans of the iconic film series.
