The Olalekan Ayinla Foundation has distributed 1,000 back-to-educational materials to students in eight public schools in Ikeja Federal Constituency, Lagos. The materials, which include school uniforms, bags, notebooks, and stationeries, aim to support students as the 2026/2027 academic session begins. The beneficiary schools are Oke Ira Primary School Ogba, Onigbongbo Primary School, Maryland, Opebi Primary School, Ikeja, Saint Peters Primary School Adeniyi Jones Primary School, Tokunbo Alli Primary School, and Shogunle Primary School.
The founder of the Olalekan Ayinla Foundation, Olalekan Ayinla, stated that the initiative was to give back to society and put smiles on the faces of less-privileged students. He urged beneficiaries to focus on their studies, be good ambassadors of their schools, and be morally upright to become future leaders. Ayinla also reiterated his support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and the Lagos Governorship candidate, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, saying the party remains supreme.
Despite challenges encountered during the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election, Ayinla expressed his commitment to supporting the party and its candidates. He called on residents in Ikeja Federal Constituency to support all APC party candidates to ensure victory. However, he stressed that the back-to-school initiative was primarily focused on supporting pupils and encouraging education.
Chairman Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), Dr. Hakeem Shittu, commended the Olalekan Ayinla Foundation for the initiative, saying it would improve learning outcomes. Represented by Folake Elliot, Shittu appealed to other well-meaning Nigerians to borrow a leaf from the Olalekan Ayinla Foundation to assist the less-privileged in society.
Chairman Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Segun Odunmbaku, thanked the philanthropist for the initiative, while teachers and students of beneficiary schools commended the Olalekan Ayinla foundation for putting smiles on their faces. Anthony Makinde, School Manager, Oke-Ira Primary School, commended the foundation for sustaining its support for pupils.
According to Makinde, the foundation had previously supported the school, and the latest intervention demonstrated its commitment to the welfare and education of pupils. The school manager appreciated the quality of the support, noting that it was not the first time the foundation had assisted the school.
The distribution of educational materials by the Olalekan Ayinla Foundation is part of its efforts to support education and encourage learning among less-privileged students. The initiative has brought joy and relief to the beneficiaries and their parents, who appreciated the gesture.
