Stakeholders in Ogbia Constituency 1, Nigeria, have unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections. The endorsement was made at a stakeholders meeting, where political leaders and stakeholders from the constituency spoke in support of President Tinubu, APC candidate for Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli, and others.
The meeting, described as a Renewed Hope Assured Prosperity Ogbia Constituency 1 stakeholders gathering, saw leaders emphasizing the need for sustained communication, consultation, and unity among stakeholders. They congratulated the APC flagbearers on their emergence and urged party members and supporters to remain united. The stakeholders expressed confidence that the APC would emerge victorious if they remained committed to a common cause.
Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli, the APC candidate for Bayelsa East Senatorial District, described himself as a servant of the people and pledged effective representation. He promised to deploy his legislative experience to advance development in Ogbia, Nembe, and Brass Local Government Areas and work with other APC lawmakers in the National Assembly. Sunny-Goli commended the people for their support during the party primaries and urged greater commitment in the forthcoming elections.
Other APC candidates, including Jude Amiditor Rex-Ogbuku for Ogbia Federal Constituency and Hon. Reflecting on the Tinubu administration, Sunny-Goli recalled the appointment of Dr. Samuel Ogbuku as Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) in August 2023. He described it as a strategic gesture that elevated Ogbia’s standing nationally. Sunny-Goli said “one good turn deserves another” and urged the people to reciprocate by massively supporting Tinubu’s re-election and all APC candidates.
Sunny-Goli acknowledged Governor Douye Diri’s performance and his call for Bayelsans to support APC candidates. He expressed confidence that with unity and grassroots mobilisation, the party would secure victory at all levels.
