Prominent Zimbabwean lawyer and entrepreneur Tawanda Nyambirai will showcase three diaspora-focused investment initiatives at the UK-Zimbabwe Business Expo 2026 in Birmingham. Nyambirai, the founder of TN Holdings Limited, will present Rural X, a programme backed by assets worth US$5 million, alongside the proposed Nova City property development and recently launched Beef Tokens. These initiatives aim to give Zimbabweans living abroad opportunities to invest in rural businesses, property, and the livestock economy.
Rural X targets investment in rural communities, with Nyambirai endowing the programme with assets valued at US$5 million. The initiative intends to invest as a venture capital partner, providing capital and business support to qualifying enterprises. Rural X will later exit its investment once the businesses become established and sustainable. Qualifying businesses can also apply for loans from TN CyberTech Bank, subject to the financial institution's normal lending requirements.
Nova City offers fractional property interests, allowing multiple investors to own interests in the same asset. Nyambirai's team has already tested the tokenisation model through the Fairview development in Ruwa, which sold out. Nova City aims to make premium property investment more accessible to Zimbabweans living outside the country. The proposed high-end property development is located on Lot 7 of Calgary Farm.
The third initiative, Beef Tokens, is designed to give investors exposure to Zimbabwe's livestock economy. The tokens are initially being issued as non-digital investment instruments while Nyambirai's team develops Diaspora X, a proposed digital asset exchange. The organisers intend to seek necessary licences and regulatory approvals before transferring the instruments onto the proposed digital platform.
The UK-Zimbabwe Business Expo and Property Show will run from 2 to 3 October 2026 at the Quaid-E-Azam Grand Ballroom in Birmingham. The event, organised by the Zimbabweans in Diaspora Organisation, will bring together entrepreneurs, property developers, financial institutions, investors, and government and business representatives from Zimbabwe and the UK.
The expo will feature exhibitions, investment discussions, business-to-business meetings, and networking sessions focusing on property, trade, and investment opportunities. An awards and dinner gala will be held at Supreme Venue in West Bromwich on Saturday evening following the business exhibition. Nyambirai said the three initiatives share the objective of moving engagement with Zimbabweans abroad "from remittances to investment".
Nyambirai stated that Zimbabweans abroad should not only be sending money home but also have opportunities to own, invest, build businesses, and participate in the creation of wealth back home. The initiatives aim to turn remittances and returning skills into productive rural enterprises, jobs, and wealth. Prospective investors will need to examine the legal structure, ownership rights, risks, and exit arrangements attached to each product before committing funds.
