The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has initiated its 2026 Staff Welfare Celebration with a series of activities aimed at promoting employee wellbeing, teamwork, and stronger workplace relationships. The celebration, themed “Our People, Our Teamwork and the Spirit That Makes NPA One Family,” commenced on September 28 at the Authority’s forecourt with a breakfast meeting. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Richard Gyan Mensah, who served as the Special Guest of Honour.
NPA Chief Executive, Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, expressed his appreciation for the dedication and contributions of the staff to the Authority’s work. Measures implemented include the introduction of responsibility and professional allowances, increased travelling allowances, and an extension of paternity leave. As part of the week-long celebration, the NPA commissioned two 20,000-litre-capacity boreholes at Mangoase and Tinkong in the Eastern Region, under its corporate social responsibility initiatives. This project aims to provide a sustainable source of water for the communities.
The programme includes various activities such as an Entrepreneurial Fair, a Sustainable Waste Management Workshop, and a quiz competition involving directorates and regional offices. These events are designed to foster teamwork, innovation, and environmental sustainability. The celebration will conclude with a wrap-up party on Friday, providing an opportunity for staff to socialize and bond.
