The real estate sector followed closely, securing the second position with a trading value of 40.86 billion EGP. This sector witnessed a trading volume of 11.24 billion shares, with a total of 909,633 transactions. Meanwhile, the construction and engineering sector ranked third, with a trading value of 33.49 billion EGP, a trading volume of 9.40 billion shares, and 748,231 transactions.

The healthcare and pharmaceuticals sector ranked fourth, with a trading value of 27.47 billion EGP, a trading volume of 8.54 billion shares, and 826,795 transactions. The basic resources sector came in fifth, with a trading value of 25.82 billion EGP, a trading volume of 816.86 million shares, and 452,368 transactions. These sectors showcased significant trading activity on the Egyptian stock exchange during September.

The food and beverages sector, along with the tobacco industry, secured the sixth position with a trading value of 18.36 billion EGP. This sector had a trading volume of 8.58 billion shares and 637,507 transactions. The banking sector came in seventh, with a trading value of 18.30 billion EGP, a trading volume of 236.28 million shares, and 307,006 transactions.

The construction materials sector ranked eighth, with a trading value of 14.11 billion EGP, a trading volume of 2.63 billion shares, and 299,440 transactions. The communications, media, and technology sector followed, with a trading value of 13.21 billion EGP, a trading volume of 1.46 billion shares, and 267,439 transactions.

The industrial products and services sector, including the automotive industry, ranked tenth, with a trading value of 8.40 billion EGP, a trading volume of 2.39 billion shares, and 232,364 transactions. The textiles and durable goods sector came in eleventh, with a trading value of 6.49 billion EGP, a trading volume of 462.09 million shares, and 173,946 transactions.

The education sector secured the twelfth position, with a trading value of 3.76 billion EGP, a trading volume of 1.45 billion shares, and 144,535 transactions. Other sectors that made it to the top fifteen include the energy and supporting services sector, the trade and distributors sector, and the utilities sector, with trading values of 3.62 billion EGP, 3.12 billion EGP, and 2.35 billion EGP, respectively.
