The Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Quorra and the Maritime Correspondents' Organisation of Nigeria (MARCON) have agreed to partner on information management, media relations, and crisis communication within the maritime sector. This partnership was discussed during a courtesy visit by MARCON's executive members, led by President Ismail Aniemu, to NNS Quorra in Apapa. The collaboration aims to enhance the sharing of information between the Navy and the media.
Captain Dantani Bukar, Deputy Commandant of NNS Quorra, welcomed the engagement, emphasizing the need for stronger information sharing between the Navy and the media. He noted that the command would identify areas where MARCON could contribute to the training of naval officers, particularly in media relations and publicity. NNS Quorra is a professional maritime training institution that has been training officers to meet the demands of their assignments.

He commended NNS Quorra for its role in developing human capacity for the Nigerian Navy, saying efficient manpower is critical to the effectiveness of maritime security operations.
