Nigerian Pastor Owolabi Ademola and his wife, Mrs. Owolabi B.B. (née Agbedu), have been married for 19 years. Born in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Pastor Ademola had his primary and secondary education in Ogun State. He later attended the West African Portland Cement Training School and earned a Certificate in Multi-Skilled Craftsmanship. He also obtained an Ordinary National Diploma in Business Administration and Management from Ondo State Polytechnic, Owo.

Pastor Ademola's educational pursuits continued as he obtained a B.Sc. (Ed.) from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State. Additionally, he is a Certified Protection Officer under the International Foundation for Protection Officers, USA and Canada Programme. He also holds a Diploma in Security Management from Transworld Security, Nigeria. Furthermore, he pursued his theological education, obtaining a Master’s Degree in Theology and a PhD in Theology.

The couple met in a university lecture room when they were both in 300 Level. Initially, they started as acquaintances, but their relationship developed into something deeper, eventually leading to marriage. When Pastor Ademola proposed to his wife, she was delighted. Her father had already passed away at the time, but her mother received the proposal positively and gave her consent.

The couple is blessed with three children: two girls and one boy. One of their most memorable moments was when they moved into their own house, a significant milestone for them as a couple and a testimony of God’s faithfulness in their marriage and family. According to Pastor Ademola, praying genuine prayers and seeking the will of God concerning their marriage and every major decision has been key to sustaining their marriage.

Pastor Ademola advises young couples who aspire to build a long-lasting, successful marriage to put God at the centre of their marriage, communicate openly, respect one another, forgive easily, and remain committed to their vows, especially during difficult times. He emphasizes that a marriage not built on the solid foundation of God Almighty is more likely to crumble when faced with challenges.

On the increasing rate of marriage breakups in Nigeria, Pastor Ademola recommends that every couple who desires to enjoy a successful and lasting marriage should put God first in everything they do. Couples should learn to operate as one, rather than as two separate individuals, and cultivate patience, humility, honesty, love, understanding, perseverance, and mutual respect.

Pastor Ademola's wife, Mrs. Owolabi B.B. (née Agbedu), was born into the family of the late Pastor and Mrs. J.B. Agbedu from Ekiti State. The couple's journey serves as an example of a successful and enduring marriage. With 19 years of marriage, Pastor Ademola and his wife continue to inspire others with their commitment to their vows and their faith in God.
