The petition was copied to several high-ranking officials, including the Inspector-General of Police, Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), National Security Adviser (NSA), and Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation. The Coalition also sent copies to the Senate President, U.S. Embassy, and Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA). This move escalates the allegations against Adeola, calling for a thorough probe into the appropriation process.
In a related development, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State has dismissed allegations against its 2027 governorship candidate, Oladipupo Adebutu. The party described the claims questioning Adebutu's eligibility as fabrications by political detractors. PDP's State Publicity Secretary, Kayode Adebayo, stated that Adebutu remains a fully registered and undisputed leader of the party in the state.
