Tamrose Limited, an indigenous marine logistics and offshore support company, has expanded its operations into Angola. This development marks a significant milestone in the company's ambition to build a stronger presence across Africa's maritime and energy markets. The expansion advances Tamrose's broader strategy of following Africa's offshore hydrocarbon footprint and taking its capabilities into new markets.

Tamrose has established a formal operational presence in Angola and secured a multi-year, five-year Offshore Support Vessels contract with a leading international oil company. This contract provides a platform to deploy its marine logistics capabilities in another major African energy market. The company's strategic partnership with Afreximbank enabled the addition of three extra PSVs — Aurora Diamond, Sapphire, and Emerald — to its rapidly expanding fleet.

The investment has become the take-off point for Tamrose's operations in Angola, with Aurora Emerald among the vessels being deployed under the new five-year OSV contract. The company will provide marine logistics support, including the transportation of deck and bulk cargo to and from the client's offshore facilities. This growth milestone was made possible by Tamrose's strategic partnerships that have enabled the company to substantially strengthen its operational capacity.

Since accessing a $10 million facility through the Nigerian Content Intervention Fund and an additional $20 million Asset Acquisition Loan from Union Bank in 2019, Tamrose has grown its fleet from four to 15 active Offshore Support Vessels. The company has successfully repaid both loans since 2025. Tamrose's expansion into the Angolan oil and gas sector demonstrates the readiness of a Pan-African company to redefine the marine logistics services sector narrative.

Mr. Ambrose Ovbiebo, Executive Chairman of Tamrose Limited, stated that the company's entry into Angola allows it to build on its experience and deploy its assets within another major African energy market. He emphasized that African-owned marine businesses can provide world-class, safe, reliable, and effective marine logistics services across the continent. The establishment of Tamrose's Angolan office provides evidence of its direction of travel and a strong platform to extend its capabilities.

Tamrose's participation in the Angola Local Content Development Forum, organized by Afreximbank, further reinforced its commitment to adding value to each host country as it expands operations across the continent. The company is positioned to increasingly capture marine solutions contracts across the continent by exporting its 100% planned uptime model across the entire OSV service spectrum.

Since its inception, Tamrose Limited has consistently demonstrated its commitment to indigenous capacity development, human capital growth, and community empowerment. The company has created nearly 350 direct jobs, supported over 650 indirect family livelihoods, and trained more than 120 cadets under the Tamrose Cadetship Training Scheme to international seafaring standards.
