Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is set to host a major national gathering of women stakeholders in Abuja on October 5, 2026. The event, themed "Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to Prosperity," aims to strengthen women's participation in the political process and commence mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential campaign. Over 20,000 women stakeholders from across the country are expected to attend.

The Women Stakeholders' Mobilisation and Empowerment Pre-Inaugural Campaign Roll-Out 2027 is organised under the Women Mobilisation Directorate of the 2027 APC Presidential Campaign Council. The mobilisation slogan for the event is "One Voice, One Movement, One Choice, One Mandate 2027." The gathering will discuss empowerment, political participation, and the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration.

Hon. Princess Gloria Akobundu, a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council Women Mobilisation Planning Committee, highlighted several Federal Government initiatives that have transformed the lives of millions of Nigerians, particularly women and youths. These initiatives include the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), infrastructure development, and social protection interventions.

NELFUND has provided interest-free loans to eligible Nigerian students, with over 1.4 million registered students and more than ₦191 billion disbursed. The fund has also partnered with over 320 institutions. Additionally, the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP) provides access to consumer financing for personal loans, education, home improvement, and renewable energy.

The Tinubu administration has made significant investments in infrastructure development, constructing over 2,700 kilometres of highways and investing in rail modernisation, energy, and housing. Major infrastructure projects include the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway, and Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Road.

The Federal Government has also expanded social intervention programmes to support vulnerable Nigerians, including the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer Programme. Initiatives under NG-CARES, SOLID, and HOPE have been introduced to strengthen community support and human capital development.

Akobundu called on women in Imo State and across the South-East to intensify their mobilisation efforts and take the Renewed Hope message to communities and localities across the region. She urged women to unite behind the administration and participate actively in the political process to mobilise support for President Tinubu and Vice-President Shettima ahead of the 2027 elections.
