NFT Consult Limited, a business process outsourcing firm with offices in several African countries, is looking for a senior leader to head its generator business and government tenders in Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing the generator business and winning government tenders for generators and motorcycles. The company operates in Uganda, South Africa, Kenya, Botswana, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zambia, Burundi, and South Sudan.

The Business Head will own the commercial plan, tender pipeline, key accounts, and sales team, and will coordinate with the existing service lead on technical proposals and customer commitments. The generator range is from 5kVA to 1250kVA. The ideal candidate should have significant leadership experience with an established generator distributor, manufacturer, or power solutions business in Uganda, and a strong personal record of preparing and winning Uganda government tenders.

The Business Head's key duties and responsibilities will include building a rolling tender pipeline across ministries, agencies, districts, public institutions, and other relevant buyers, and monitoring procurement plans, invitations, and prequalification opportunities. The candidate should have working knowledge of PPDA processes, eligibility documents, and bid submission discipline, as well as enough generator product knowledge to discuss customer applications, sizing, installation, operating costs, warranties, and aftersales terms.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing realistic bid economics with finance and management, obtaining approval before binding the company to price or contract terms, and remaining the commercial owner through contract execution, acceptance documents, invoicing, and collection. The Business Head will lead the generator sales and tender team, recommend hires, set territories and targets, review opportunities weekly, coach staff, and report results and risks to management.

In the first 30 days, the Business Head is expected to audit tender readiness and live opportunities, meet the motorcycle team, generator suppliers, and service lead, and present a market map, named target account list, priority client meetings, and a costed 9-day plan. The candidate should have experience building and managing a sales or tender team, negotiating with suppliers, forecasting sales, and following contracts through to payment.

The Business Head will be measured on government tenders, including qualified opportunities, compliant bids submitted on time, award value, win rate, awarded gross margin, contract fulfilment, and collection. The candidate should have a relevant engineering or business qualification, and demonstrable commercial and tender results. The deadline for applications is October 9, 2026.

The successful candidate will have an active understanding of Uganda's generator buyers, purchase cycles, competitors, and decision makers. Knowledge of potential generator customers, distributors, or projects in South Sudan or the Democratic Republic of Congo is an advantage. Interested applicants should apply online at the link provided on the company's website.
