The Association des professionnels de la publicité (APP-Guinée) held its general assembly on October 31 at its headquarters in Kobaya, Lambanyi. The meeting reviewed the past year's activities, discussed future prospects, and addressed industry challenges. The event marked the official installation of the new president, Adama Diané, and his executive bureau. APP-Guinée represents nearly 40 companies in the communication and advertising sector.

APP-Guinée aims to defend its members' interests with advertisers, the government, and Guinean employers by strengthening solidarity among sector players. The association seeks to become a strong, credible, and indispensable organization in defending corporate interests and promoting advertising in Guinea. President Adama Diané acknowledged past divisions within the profession, emphasizing the need to address difficulties rather than mask them.

Adama Diané outlined his priorities, including defending members' interests, promoting professionalism, and improving the business environment for advertising companies. He called on professionals to prioritize collective interests and put aside differences to build a more solid organization. Diané stressed that unity doesn't require agreement on everything but rather dialogue, respect, and prioritizing collective interests when the sector's future is at stake.

Outgoing President Ibrahima Dieng supported Diané's message, praising the work accomplished in a short time and offering advice for his successor's term. Dieng emphasized that an association belongs to its members, not its president or bureau. He encouraged the new leadership to preserve cohesion within the corporation and strive for further growth.

APP-Guinée's Secretary General, Alpha Barry, presented the past year's achievements and future ambitions. He highlighted the advertising sector's contribution to Guinea's economic development, noting that advertising goes beyond promoting brands and products to create visibility, value investments, jobs, and national economic dynamism.

Barry emphasized that behind every advertising campaign, there are companies, investments, jobs, and added value. The secretariat aims to continue this momentum by monitoring engaged actions and implementing association orientations with transparency, responsibility, and solidarity.

The new leadership at APP-Guinée is focused on uniting the sector and promoting growth. With a clear vision and priorities set, the association is poised to strengthen its position and contribute to Guinea's economic development through effective advertising and communication.
