The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and the Practical Nigerian Content (PNC) Forum are collaborating to host the 15th edition of the forum in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. The event, scheduled for November 30 to December 3, has the theme “Defining Strategic Priorities for the Next Decade of Nigerian Content Implementation.” This year's forum aims to assess the progress made so far and chart a course for the next decade of Nigerian content implementation.
According to the organizers, Nigeria has achieved 61 per cent local content under the Nigerian Content Strategic Roadmap (2017–2027). With the country working toward its 70 per cent target, stakeholders are focusing on sustaining and deepening this progress over the next decade. The forum will examine critical questions, including capacity gaps and priorities for Nigerian Content implementation beyond 2027.
The forum will feature discussions on four key priorities: Mobilising Capital, Project Opportunities, Advancing Nigerian Content, and Policy & Legislation. These sessions will bring together industry leaders, government officials, and regulators to address challenges and identify solutions. The event will also provide a platform for stakeholders to shape priorities for the next decade of Nigerian content implementation.
Portfolio & Country Director, dmg Nigeria events, Wemimo Oyelana, emphasized the significance of the forum, noting that 15 years of Nigerian Content implementation have demonstrated the impact of sustained policy, regulatory commitment, and industry collaboration. Oyelana said the conversation must now move beyond measuring progress to defining what the next decade requires.
The forum will feature high-level speakers, including Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, Executive Secretary, NCDMB; Elohor Aiboni, EVP & Country Chair, Shell Companies in Nigeria; and Matthieu Bouyer, Country Chairman & MD, TotalEnergies Nigeria. The event will include Strategic Leadership Panels, Executive Debates, Town Hall sessions, Breakout Sessions, and a dedicated Local Content Impact Stage. These formats are designed to translate dialogue into accountability and facilitate partnerships with the potential to drive industry impact. The forum aims to provide a platform for industry and government to define priorities, partnerships, and policy direction for the next decade of implementation.
