Oguntola, who spent 20 years with The Nation newspaper, brings extensive experience in newsroom management, digital publishing, and online journalism to his role as Editor-in-Chief of NaijaGoodNews. His professional development includes participation in several international journalism training programs and fellowships, including a Reuters Institute workshop. Oguntola also gained early newsroom experience as an intern with The Punch Newspaper. He believes that NaijaGoodNews was established in response to an imbalance in the way Nigeria and Nigerians are often portrayed.
