Nobuhle Precious Mavuso, widely known as Make Buhle Gee, is a native of Eswatini who has dedicated her life to her family, her professional calling as a social worker, and her ministry as a Gospel music artist. Her journey from humble beginnings to a respected voice in Eswatini Gospel music reflects a deep commitment to serving God and uplifting her community. Raised initially by both parents, her childhood shifted when her parents divorced, introducing financial strains and maintenance challenges.
Despite these tribulations, her mother and maternal relatives rallied to ensure her education remained a priority. She attended Ngwane Park Primary School before completing her secondary education at Masundvwini High School. Determined to rewrite her story, she pursued her Matric in South Africa, earning her National Senior Certificate. Her academic journey reached a pivotal milestone when she enrolled at the University of Pretoria, where she earned an Honours Degree in Social Work between 2012 and 2015.
Returning to Eswatini, she secured a position as a public servant, a role in which she has served with dedication for 10 years. While her career in social work allowed her to address societal needs directly, her spiritual life and passion for music grew alongside it. Her biological father, an avid football enthusiast, nurtured her early love for melody through his daily routine of playing music at home. Her mother provided the spiritual foundation, ensuring church attendance, Sunday school participation, and early morning devotions.
Embracing her faith as a teenager provided her with an anchor through every season of life. Over time, singing evolved from a personal outlet into a ministry. For Mavuso, music is a vehicle for healing, deliverance, and spiritual expression. Her ambition extends beyond vocal arrangements or pleasing melodies; she seeks to create an atmosphere of worship that conveys a message of hope. Offstage, she balances her ministry with her role as a wife to a supportive husband who actively encourages her vision.
She is also a mother to two biological children and considers herself a guardian to countless young people across Eswatini. Her professional experience as a social worker reinforces her belief in the potential of youth, particularly those from vulnerable backgrounds. Drawing inspiration from 1 John 2:14, she views young people as strong agents of change who can transform their generation when provided with guidance and support.
Guided by the wisdom of community elders, she emphasises humility, respect, and gratitude for those who supported her development. Representing the Kingdom of Eswatini on global platforms is a responsibility she accepts with reverence. She aims to demonstrate that world-class Gospel music can originate from Eswatini without compromising sacred values or cultural identity. She frequently addresses the misconception that artists from smaller nations lack technical capability or artistic depth.
Mavuso is preparing for the live recording of her upcoming album, ‘FOR HIS GLORY’, scheduled for October 10, 2026, at the FEA Zakhele Old Auditorium in Manzini. Beginning at 6 pm, the evening will feature twelve tracks blending traditional and contemporary gospel music tailored for a diverse audience.
