The second edition of the ISF World School Golf Championship (WSGC) will take place at the Golf de Tazegzout in Taghazout, Morocco, from November 2-8, 2026. This international competition, presided over by Prince Moulay Rachid, will bring together 19 nations to promote sports, education, and cultural exchange. The event is organized by the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation (FRMG), the Hassan II Trophy Association, and the Moroccan ministries of National Education and Vocational Training, in partnership with the International School Sports Federation (ISF).

The WSGC was first held in Rabat, Morocco, in July 2025, and marked a significant milestone with the official integration of golf into the ISF's World School Championships calendar. The inaugural event saw 64 young athletes from 16 nations and regions compete, combining sports, learning, and intercultural encounters. For the second edition, the choice of Taghazout offers international delegations a chance to discover another Moroccan destination. The Golf de Tazegzout, designed by architect Kyle Phillips, features an 18-hole course with a par of 72, spanning over 6,700 meters.

The competition will feature stroke play over 72 holes, divided into four rounds of 18 holes. Four individual titles will be awarded in the U15 girls, U15 boys, U18 girls, and U18 boys categories. Team events will consist of four student-athletes per nation, with one girl and one boy in each age category. The top three scores will be counted daily to determine the team ranking. Morocco, the host country and reigning world champion, aims to confirm its 2025 performance.

In 2025, the Moroccan team, comprising Sofia Cherif Essakali, Saad Ahalouch, Mohamed Baouhamou, and Salam El Hali, won the first collective title in WSGC history with a score of -10 over 72 holes, ahead of Thailand and Chinese Taipei. Moroccan representatives also excelled in individual events, securing three world titles: Sofia Cherif Essakali in U18 girls, Hicham Rachidi in U18 boys, and Mohamed Baouhamou in U15 boys.

The event in Taghazout will include various activities to foster connections between delegations, such as an opening ceremony, ISF Academy activities, a cultural day, Nations Night, and a closing ceremony. These activities aim to preserve the championship's identity, centered around sports, education, and cultural exchange. This second edition is part of a long-term partnership to host the 2025, 2026, and 2028 editions in Morocco.

According to Mustapha Zine, vice-president of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation, this second edition represents a new step in realizing Prince Moulay Rachid's vision, which prioritizes youth development in golf. The goal is to build on the momentum from 2025, promoting sports as an instrument for education, transmission, and global openness.

The Royal Moroccan Golf Federation and its partners aim to bring golf closer to schools, encourage the emergence of young talents, and enhance Morocco's international reputation in school sports. With 19 nations participating, the second ISF World School Golf Championship is set to further establish Morocco's commitment to golf development and its role as a hub for international school sports.
