The Moroccan government's Power Export program has received 535 applications from enterprises looking to enhance their export capabilities. The program, part of the country's 2025-2027 foreign trade roadmap, aims to support Moroccan enterprises and strengthen their export capacities. Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, Omar Hejira, announced the number of applications during a session at the Chamber of Counselors.

The Power Export program seeks to create 600 new export enterprises, with a focus on benefiting enterprises from all regions of Morocco. Of the 535 applications, 230 are from enterprises that have never exported before. These enterprises will undergo a preliminary diagnosis to assess their export capacity and identify their needs. The program also targets enterprises that have export potential but have not yet fully exploited it.

The regional distribution of applications shows Casablanca-Settat leading with 38.4%, followed by Marrakech-Safi with 11.5%. Fès-Meknès and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra each account for 10.2% of applications, while Souss-Massa and Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima represent 9.5% each. The remaining six regions account for 12.8% of applications. These numbers highlight the need for increased regional cooperation to promote territorial equity in production.

The applications can be categorized into three groups: 230 enterprises with no prior export experience, 235 enterprises with untapped export potential, and 70 enterprises with limited export activities seeking support to increase their exports. The Power Export program offers a range of services, including assistance with obtaining conformity certificates, promoting products on international e-commerce platforms, and concluding contracts with international commercial agents.

The Power Export program is an integrated system that combines diagnosis, accompaniment, financing, and technical support to help enterprises at various stages of developing their export projects. Enterprises will receive support tailored to their specific needs, enabling them to build their export capacities and expand their presence in international markets.

According to Omar Hejira, the program's goal is to promote equitable territorial development and boost the country's export performance. By supporting enterprises from all regions, the government aims to reduce regional disparities and increase the country's overall export capacity. The program is part of a broader effort to strengthen Morocco's position in the global market.

The success of the Power Export program will depend on effective implementation and coordination among various stakeholders. With 535 applications already received, the program has generated significant interest among Moroccan enterprises. As the program moves forward, it will be crucial to monitor its progress and assess its impact on the country's export sector.
