Morocco's airports have handled 22.3 million passengers in the first seven months of 2026, marking an 8.8% increase compared to the same period last year. The DEPF reported that the growth in passenger traffic is a result of increased travel to and from various regions. This growth is attributed to a rise in transshipment traffic, which increased by 7.7%, and imports, which rose by 2.7%.
However, not all port traffic saw growth. The export traffic declined by 1.4%, and cabotage traffic decreased by 14.6%. Despite this, the overall growth in port traffic is a positive sign for Morocco's economy. The country's ports play a crucial role in its trade and commerce.

Over 1.6 million passengers transited through the country's ports by the end of June 2026, almost matching the level seen in the same period last year.
