Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, stated that Morocco has built a robust industrial and technological base over the past two decades, enabling the country to manufacture complex systems in the aviation and defense sectors. This development is a result of the royal vision of King Mohammed VI. Mezzour made these remarks during the opening of the 8th edition of the Marrakech International Air Show.

The Marrakech International Air Show, organized in partnership with the Moroccan Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, and the National Defense Administration, among others, aims to showcase Morocco's advancements in the aviation industry. The event highlights the country's diverse areas of expertise, including engineering, maintenance, embedded electronics, digitalization, and research and development.

The 2026 Marrakech International Air Show, taking place until October 10, features an air show and a static exhibition of next-generation aircraft and platforms. The event also includes strategic conferences, professional meetings, and high-level discussions focusing on industrial sovereignty, supply chain security, digitalization, complex systems, and skills development.

Mezzour invited investors to capitalize on Morocco's potential and establish partnerships in the country. He emphasized that the country's attractiveness stems from its skills, execution capabilities, and competitiveness levels, making it an ideal location for investment.
