Akhannouch discussed the increases in wages for public sector employees, which have risen by 1000 dirhams, as well as a 20% rise in the minimum wage and a 25% increase in the minimum agricultural wage. He also touched on the increases in wages for doctors, teachers, and higher education professors. The Prime Minister highlighted the launch of direct social support for 4 million families, housing support, and expanded health coverage.
The RNI head announced plans to raise the minimum wage to 5000 dirhams through dialogue with social and economic partners. He also proposed a tax deduction of 5000 dirhams for students in the private sector. Akhannouch vowed to continue developing the direct social support system, aiming to improve the index used to determine eligibility and expand the base of beneficiary families.
Akhannouch revealed a plan to encourage families to save by providing a state contribution of 25 dirhams for every 100 dirhams saved. This initiative aims to enable families to build savings that can help them cope with difficult circumstances. He also announced a goal of creating one million additional jobs in the coming period, focusing on improving mediation in the labor market and connecting job seekers with employers.
The Prime Minister concluded his speech by thanking RNI activists for their efforts during the election campaign, describing it as "mature." He urged them to continue their work with calmness and confidence in the remaining 48 hours before the legislative elections on September 23. Akhannouch expressed optimism about the campaign, citing a larger enthusiasm among citizens compared to the 2021 elections.
Akhannouch responded to critics, stating that he does not wish to engage in details about the promises of his competitors, who he claims are "playing defense" while RNI candidates are "scoring goals." He recalled the 2021 elections, where the RNI secured 2.1 million votes, and expressed confidence in the party's chances in the upcoming elections.
