Dangote Refinery cut its PMS price from N1,350 to N1,325 per litre in Lagos, while other marketers reduced prices by between N20 and N24. The Osun State House of Assembly has become the first state legislature to approve the proposed constitutional amendment for the establishment of state police. Suspected cultists have killed a party guest identified as Tosin in the Egbin area of Ijede, Ikorodu, Lagos State, and dumped his body in a river. Tosin was attacked and robbed of his gold chains and phones while attending an event in Egbin, Ijede, on September 15. His body was later found in a river in Agura. Police have arrested some suspects and transferred the case to the State CID.
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has accused FCT Minister Nyesom Wike of lying about alleged N50bn Federal Government funding for the Ibadan International Airport upgrade. Governor Makinde said the Ibadan Airport upgrade is being fully funded by the Oyo State Government and that President Tinubu's approval was "at no cost to the Federal Government." He described Wike's claim of N50bn FG funding as false.
