On September 29, 2026, Moov Africa Malitel, KODICO, and EDM-SA signed a partnership agreement to launch Dèmè ISAGO, an innovative solution aimed at facilitating access to energy for subscribers with ISAGO meters from EDM-SA. The signing ceremony took place at a hotel in Bamako, attended by representatives from the three companies. This partnership aims to provide a convenient and accessible solution for customers.
During the ceremony, Adama Kouyaté, Managing Director of KODICO, highlighted the importance of their role in providing energy, stating that their job is to work behind the scenes to keep the lights on in people's homes. He presented Dèmè ISAGO as a 100% local solution developed by young Malians to make daily life easier for citizens. Kouyaté expressed gratitude to their partners and clients for their support and trust.
M'Baye Diaby, General Director of the Accounting and Commercial Poles at EDM-SA, explained that the company prioritizes listening to its customers' needs and seeks solutions adapted to their daily realities. He noted that the name Dèmè, which means "help" or "support" in Bambara, reflects the solution's goal of providing assistance to customers. Diaby emphasized that Dèmè ISAGO is accessible 24/7.
Souaïbou Coulibaly, Deputy Managing Director of Moov Africa Malitel, added that Dèmè ISAGO aligns with their common vision of mutual assistance and responds to the concrete needs of the population. He highlighted the simplicity of the procedure and the solution's integration into the authorities' vision for facilitating energy and digital access to the population.
The Dèmè ISAGO service allows eligible clients to request and obtain a credit advance for reloading their ISAGO meter directly from their mobile phone via the Moov Africa Malitel network. The loan ceiling is 10,000 FCFA with a 7-day repayment deadline. This solution aims to provide a convenient and accessible way for customers to manage their energy needs.
At the end of the ceremony, awards were given to the two best KODICO clients, and the three stakeholders signed the partnership agreement officially. This partnership marks a significant step in improving energy access and services for customers in Mali.
