Managing Partner of Parkwood and Mossane, Nana Akwasi Awuah, has urged Mfantsipim School to focus on cultivating more business leaders and entrepreneurs. Speaking at the 11th MOBA Annual Engagement Series, he proposed establishing a Mfantsipim Business and Entrepreneurship Club to develop a pipeline of business leaders and entrepreneurs. This initiative aims to equip students with entrepreneurial and leadership skills early, enabling them to create businesses and wealth. Nana Awuah, a 2006 year-group student of Mfantsipim School, emphasized the need for the school to expand its contribution to Ghana's business sector.

Nana Awuah highlighted Mfantsipim's 150-year legacy of producing leaders across various fields, including presidents, prime ministers, diplomats, scientists, and academics. He noted that the school's emphasis on discipline, excellence, courage, integrity, service, and responsibility has shaped students into leaders. These values have continued to influence old boys long after leaving the school, enabling them to approach challenges differently. Nana Awuah cited his own experience, where the education and values he acquired at Mfantsipim helped him transform a struggling state-owned enterprise into a profitable one.

The proposed Mfantsipim Business and Entrepreneurship Club would provide a platform for students to develop entrepreneurial and leadership skills. Members could later aspire to join the MOBA Business and Entrepreneurship Club, which aims to ensure leadership continuity and equip Mfantsipim students and old boys to create businesses and wealth. Nana Awuah also proposed establishing MOBA Club 1000, a prestigious group of Mfantsipim business leaders and entrepreneurs, with an ambitious target of producing 10,000 millionaires within the next decade.

Nana Awuah identified character, competence, courage, service, and accountability as key tests of leadership. He emphasized that Mfantsipim's tradition is not simply about academic achievement but about applying knowledge, creating solutions, and building institutions that can have a lasting impact. The school's emphasis on discipline and responsibility, including routine activities such as cleaning and maintaining order, has helped shape students into leaders.

The 11th MOBA Annual Engagement Series was held under the theme "Sustaining Mfantsipim's Legacy Beyond 150 Years." Nana Awuah urged old boys and the school community to consider how the institution could deliberately prepare the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders. He believes that by working together, Mfantsipim can develop a strong pipeline of business leaders and entrepreneurs who can contribute to Ghana's economic growth.

Nana Awuah's call for a stronger focus on entrepreneurship and business leadership at Mfantsipim School resonates with the school's 150-year history of producing leaders. The proposed initiatives aim to build on the school's legacy by equipping students with the skills and values necessary to succeed in business and entrepreneurship. By cultivating more business leaders and entrepreneurs, Mfantsipim can continue to make a positive impact on Ghana's economy and society.

The Mfantsipim Old Boys Association (MOBA) has launched several initiatives to support the school's development, including the MOBA Golf Club invitational as part of Mfantsipim School's 150th Anniversary celebrations. Asantehene is also expected to grace Mfantsipim School's 150th anniversary celebrations in November. These events demonstrate the commitment of old boys and the school community to sustaining Mfantsipim's legacy beyond 150 years.
