The March and March Movement has announced plans to disrupt the MTN8 final at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday. The activists are demanding action from the government on undocumented immigration. Thousands of football fans are expected to attend the event. The movement's activists claim they want to show the government that they are serious about addressing the issue of illegal immigration in South Africa.

The threat comes after a similar disruption at the Ingonyama Trust Board's Rural Economy Development and Investment Indaba at the Durban International Convention Centre on September 30. Members of the Zulu regiments, known as Amabutho, stormed the venue, singing and chanting, and halting proceedings for about an hour. The activists are determined to make their voices heard.

Mzwandile Shandu, a March and March Movement activist, stated that the plan is to interrupt the MTN 8 final proceedings to express their anger to the government about the presence of illegal foreigners in the country. The activists believe that the event should not take place while they feel that their country is being overrun by undocumented immigrants.

Mzwandile Khoza, another protester, confirmed the plan to invade the MTN 8 final on Saturday. He emphasized that the government is taking them for granted and that they want to show officials that they are serious about addressing the issue of illegal immigration. The activists are calling on all South Africans to support their cause.

The March and March Movement continued their protest in the Durban CBD on October 9, but it remained peaceful due to a high police presence. The protest started at Che Guevara Road, went through the Durban CBD, and ended at the same location. The anti-immigration protesters visited businesses in the Durban CBD while armed with sticks.

However, a previous protest had turned violent, with several vehicles set alight in Durban as the March and March Movement swept through parts of the CBD, shutting down foreign-owned businesses. The Fire Department responded quickly, dispatching several vehicles to the scene. Similar protests were held in other parts of the country, including Hillbrow, Johannesburg, and Cape Town.

The protests are part of a wider movement that has seen thousands of people queue outside the Department of Home Affairs Durban Refugee Reception Centre, in response to a notice to asylum seekers from the Department of Home Affairs. The centre was later closed, and the protesters were told to leave the area. The March and March Movement is determined to continue protesting until the government addresses their concerns.
