The General Inspection of Security and Civil Protection Services was created in 2000 with the mission of ensuring that security and civil protection services fulfill their assigned tasks. However, after several years of implementation, the existing texts have shown insufficiencies related to the evolution of the security context and institutional changes within the Armed Forces and Security. The adopted projects create the General Inspection of Security and Civil Protection Services to enhance sector governance.
The Council of Ministers also adopted projects related to the creation of the Malian Transport and Logistics Company and the approval of its statutes. The Malian economy heavily relies on road transport for the transportation of export and import products, as well as for exchanges between production, commercialization, and consumption areas. The government has faced numerous challenges in importing agricultural products, inputs, and hydrocarbons.
To better control the country's supply chain and monitor the export of strategic products, the government has engaged in a series of reforms aimed at ensuring the availability, accessibility, quality, and quantity of strategic products nationwide. The created Malian Transport and Logistics Company will be responsible for ensuring public road transport of people and goods within and outside the country.
The Minister of National Education informed the Council of Ministers about Mali's participation in the Day of School Excellence, held on September 4, 2026, in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The event, themed "Cultivating School Excellence in the Context of the Refoundation of the Burkinabé School," distinguished 188 laureates from primary and secondary schools, teachers, and pedagogical supervisors.
The Minister of Mines informed the Council of Ministers about Mali's participation in the 1st Edition of the Energy, Mines, and Hydrocarbons Week, held from September 14 to 19, 2026, in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The Minister of Energy and Water informed the Council of Ministers about Mali's participation in the 70th Ordinary Session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency, held from September 14 to 18, 2026, in Vienna, Austria.
