The Malian community of Doumazana has welcomed with great joy a new water project initiated by President Assimi Goïta as part of his social initiatives. The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of a delegation led by Colonel Cheick Tounkara, Administrative and Financial Director of the Presidency. The local population expressed their gratitude through a traditional dance performance by the Foly Ton Nafadji troupe. The event was also attended by Dieudonné Sagara, Director of Cabinet of the Bamako District Governor, Djigui Diarra, Sub-prefect of the 1st arrondissement, and Oumarou Togo, Mayor of the constituency.

The Mayor of the 1st arrondissement, Oumarou Togo, also praised the initiative, noting that Doumazana, particularly the Nafadji sector, has benefited from a total of six water forages.
Colonel Cheick Tounkara explained that the inauguration of the water project in Doumazana reflects President Assimi Goïta's commitment to addressing the essential needs of the population. He highlighted that the President's social initiatives cover various sectors, including access to water, solar installations, medical equipment, schools, and food distribution. The Colonel also mentioned that the realization of the three water forages brings the total number of forages implemented under the President's social initiatives to 564.
The Colonel emphasized the importance of interaction between the population and the team responsible for implementing the President's social initiatives. He assured that the operation continues throughout the year and that the objective is to respond to the needs of the population without distinction. Colonel Tounkara also highlighted the President's decision to allocate two-thirds of his sovereignty fund to social initiatives.

He emphasized that the goal is to make these infrastructures factors of cohesion rather than division.
