The Malian military announced on October 30 that it had carried out a series of strikes against militants and military equipment storage sites in three regions of the country on October 28. The operations, part of the "Doguokoloku" process to secure the country's territory, were supported by unnamed partners. According to the military, the strikes targeted areas in the north, southeast, and central regions.

The first strike hit a gathering point north of the village of Telenhdak, where militants and quantities of military equipment and supplies were allegedly located. The military stated that the strike was based on precise intelligence information. Simultaneously, surveillance means in the Nangoula sector of the Diwela region, southeast of the country, detected a convoy of nine motorcycles, each carrying two militants, who were subsequently pursued and bombed.

The third strike targeted a group of militants on motorcycles approximately 32 kilometers west of the city of Genni in central Mali, who were attempting to hide. The military reported that no movement was observed in the area after the bombing. The military did not provide casualty numbers, stating that reconnaissance and evaluation operations were ongoing in the targeted areas to prepare a unified toll and monitor any remaining threats.

These strikes come after the military announced on Wednesday, October 21, that it had targeted two militant gatherings in the Timbuktu and Segou regions. Mali has faced attacks from armed groups, some linked to Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State, concentrated in the north and center and extending to the south for over a decade.

The Malian military's general staff renewed its call for residents to continue cooperating with the armed forces in their efforts to combat militant groups. The military emphasized the importance of collaboration in securing the country.

The operations are part of a broader effort to stabilize the region and prevent further attacks. The Malian government has been working to strengthen its military capabilities and improve security in the face of ongoing militant threats.

The international community has been closely monitoring the situation in Mali, with various countries and organizations providing support to the government's efforts to combat terrorism and maintain stability in the region.
