AfriSAFE 2026, scheduled for November 5-6, 2026, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana, has garnered significant support from major African corporate entities. The event, themed "Safeguarding Lives. Securing the Future," aims to bring together leading African corporate entities, policymakers, regulatory authorities, and health, safety, and environment (HSE) professionals to discuss strategies for protecting lives and business continuity.

The two-day summit will feature high-level deliberations on workplace and technical safety, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria, artificial intelligence, organisational resilience, and responsible enterprise. The comprehensive itinerary includes the Africa Safety Congress, AfriSAFE Awards, an international exhibition, career empowerment sessions, and high-level networking.

Major corporate institutions backing this year's edition include Zambia Sugar, Seplat Energy, Tropical Cable, Golden Africa Djibouti, GODEF West Africa, Unique Open University, Brit Holdings, OSHEMS Group, Hybrid Group, iSafety Group, and Safety Consultants and Solutions Providers. These organisations join a growing list of supporters of the AfriSAFE initiative, which aims to promote a safety culture across the continent.

As part of its commitment to driving social impact, AfriSAFE 2026 will deliver free practical first-aid and emergency-response training to at least 1,000 individuals in Ghana. This initiative aligns with AfriSAFE's broader ambition to equip over 10,000 people across selected African nations with critical, life-saving competencies.

Public engagement for the AfriSAFE 2026 Awards reached record levels, drawing over 8,000 individual entries across Africa's five sub-regions, from which fewer than 70 nominees progressed to the final shortlist. Furthermore, more than 20 organisations were selected from over 5,000 corporate nominations.

Shortlisted corporate organisations and public entities include notable companies such as Dangote Packaging Limited, Ardova Plc, UBA Group, and Nestlé ESAR Region. The event is delivered in strategic partnership with the Ghana Institute of Safety and Environmental Professionals (GhISEP) and the Ghana Electrical Contractors' Association (GECA), and carries official endorsements from Ghana's Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations and Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.

AfriSAFE 2026 is expected to build on the success of previous editions held in Nigeria, Zambia, and Kenya. The event's founder and CEO, Femi Da-silva, emphasised the imperative of extending safety culture beyond corporate settings, saying that the ultimate measure of success is what changes for the individual on the street.
