The main stage of the "Medusa-15" joint military training exercise commenced in Greece, with Egypt's Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, in attendance. The main stage of the exercise began with a presentation on board the Egyptian helicopter carrier, "Gamal Abdel Nasser". The presentation outlined the various activities and events that took place during the exercise. This was followed by a series of training activities, including combat and defensive sorties by multi-role aircraft, in cooperation with Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs). Paratroopers also conducted airborne insertions to secure a beachhead, while special forces carried out a raid on coastal targets.

The exercise involved a range of activities, including a simulated visit and search of a suspect ship, and an amphibious operation to secure vital targets. The amphibious operation was supported by Egyptian helicopters, which provided fire support to secure the approach route for the landing craft. The exercise also included a vertical insertion operation by special forces, demonstrating their ability to work together effectively.

The previous stages of the exercise had included a number of training activities, such as unconventional firing drills by participating warships, and special forces training on facility assaults. Intelligence units also conducted training on the use of swarms of explosive drones to target enemy naval vessels. Meanwhile, border guard units exchanged expertise on monitoring and tracking, and dealing with illicit maritime activities.

A cyber security training course was also conducted as part of the exercise, focusing on confronting modern electronic threats and challenges. The training activities demonstrated the high level of professionalism and cohesion among the participating forces. The exercise provided a valuable opportunity for the participating countries to enhance their military cooperation and interoperability.
