Lufthansa Cargo has launched a new service called Emergency, which offers priority transportation for urgent and time-sensitive shipments. The service is available at over 200 stations within the Lufthansa Group's network and is designed for shipments that require priority handling and close monitoring throughout the transportation process. This service can be used for both planned and unplanned shipments, including spare parts, machinery, pharmaceuticals, and medical samples that are required urgently.

The Emergency service allows customers to book their shipments at short notice, subject to capacity availability. Lufthansa Cargo has confirmed that shipments can benefit from available capacity up to the maximum payload of the aircraft. The service can be added to general cargo bookings, dangerous goods, passive temperature support, and sensitive/valuable goods, in conjunction with the speed options provided by the company, including td.Flash and td.Zoom.

Customers can make bookings through Lufthansa Cargo's eBooking platform. Shipments that use the Emergency service receive enhanced monitoring throughout the transportation chain. Additional monitoring is available at Lufthansa Cargo's main operations centers in Frankfurt, Munich, and Vienna. In Frankfurt, shipments are handled through the time:matters courier terminal in the Cargo City North area.

The time:matters terminal aims to reduce transportation times for urgent shipments by providing direct access to the airport and dedicated handling procedures. A dedicated customer service team is available around the clock to provide support in English and German, monitoring shipments and handling any potential disruptions during transportation. Customers can also track their shipments using Lufthansa Cargo's eTracking service.

The Emergency service includes a money-back guarantee under specific conditions. The guarantee applies if the shipment is not available for pickup within six hours of the specified "time of availability," subject to the terms and conditions in effect. The introduction of this service expands the range of flexible additional services offered by Lufthansa Cargo.

These additional services can be added to qualified cargo bookings based on the product, transportation speed, and chosen route. Lufthansa Cargo's new Emergency service is designed to meet the needs of customers who require urgent and reliable transportation for their shipments. The service is part of Lufthansa Cargo's efforts to provide a comprehensive range of services for its customers.

By offering priority handling and close monitoring, Lufthansa Cargo aims to ensure that urgent shipments are delivered quickly and reliably. The Emergency service is a valuable addition to Lufthansa Cargo's portfolio, providing customers with a flexible and reliable solution for their urgent transportation needs.
