The Libya Energy & Economic Summit (LEES) 2027 is scheduled to take place from January 23-25, 2027, in Tripoli, Libya. The event has secured a mix of international Bronze sponsors and national sponsors from various service sectors. This year's summit aims to bring together Libya's National Oil Corporation and Ministry of Oil and Gas with investors and service providers.
Global Consolidated Contractors International (GCCI) and security firm GardaWorld have joined as Bronze sponsors of the summit. GCCI brings engineering and turnkey contracting expertise, while GardaWorld offers secure transportation and management services. GardaWorld opened its Libya branch in Tripoli in September 2026 and will contribute management, intelligence, and advisory services to the event.
National sponsors of the summit include Contango Oil & Gas Services, LDC, First Call for Safety Services, Wazen Oil Services, and Expertise Consultancy. These companies offer a range of services, including engineering, well services, safety management, and corporate mobility. Contango Oil & Gas Services employs roughly 100 Libyan engineers and is deploying digital monitoring tools to reduce equipment downtime.
LDC highlighted its capabilities in engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, drilling, and wireline work. The company recently completed a liner-hanger installation on well B56-NC 115 using German tools and Akakus Oil Operations. Wazen Oil Services provides engineering, automation, maintenance, and field-logistics support from its Tripoli headquarters, Benghazi branch, and desert sites.
First Call for Safety Services will provide industrial safety, risk management, and technical training, emphasizing health, safety, environment, and quality standards as drilling campaigns expand. Expertise Consultancy supports foreign firms entering Libya with corporate mobility, compliance, secure transport, and operational risk management.
The summit aims to help Libya raise its oil production to two million barrels per day, as outlined in the event's agenda. The event will link Libya's National Oil Corporation and Ministry of Oil and Gas with investors and service providers. This is expected to boost Libya's oil production and contribute to the country's economic growth.
Ahmed Ibraheem, CEO of Contango Oil & Gas Services, noted his company's commitment to supporting Libya's oil and gas sector. Tamim Rashed, Managing Director of Expertise Consultancy, previously outlined his company's services in a 2026 LEES session. The summit is expected to attract significant attention from investors and industry experts.
