The Lee Group of Companies Ltd is set to unveil a $1.8 billion industrial park in Ogun State, Nigeria. The 450-hectare First Industrial Park, located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, will accommodate over 29 manufacturing factories across various sectors. The project aims to generate more than 2,500 direct and indirect jobs, strengthening Ogun State's position as a leading industrial destination in Nigeria.

The industrial park is designed to host manufacturing businesses in sectors such as soap and detergent production, PVC leather manufacturing, and food processing. Aspira Products Stand, a subsidiary of Lee Group of Companies, plans to establish its West African regional office within the park. The office is expected to enhance the park's commercial significance, positioning it as a hub for manufacturing and distribution activities serving West African markets.

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, will perform the groundbreaking ceremony on November 12, 2026. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the Minister of Trade and Investment, industry leaders, traditional rulers, and members of the diplomatic community are expected to attend the event. The project is anticipated to attract substantial domestic and foreign investment, expanding Nigeria's manufacturing capacity and creating employment opportunities.

The industrial park's development is projected to have a gross development value of $3 billion, reflecting its potential contribution to economic activities within Ogun State and beyond. The park will feature administrative offices, residential facilities, power and utility stations, banks, shopping malls, and recreational facilities. These supporting facilities aim to create an integrated industrial environment where manufacturing, logistics, and commercial activities can operate.

The park's strategic location along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, particularly its proximity to the Sagamu Interchange, is expected to provide businesses with access to major markets, transportation networks, and logistics services. This location will facilitate the movement of raw materials and finished products, improving access to distribution channels.

The Lee Group First Industrial Park is expected to strengthen Ogun State's growing reputation as a preferred destination for industrial development. The project will also enhance the state's economic growth, contributing to Nigeria's overall economic development. With its integrated facilities and strategic location, the industrial park is poised to become a significant industrial hub in West Africa.

With the groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for November 12, 2026, stakeholders are eagerly anticipating the project's impact on the state's economy and the country's industrial sector.
