Learners across Eswatini are gearing up for a series of external examinations scheduled to take place from early October into mid-November. The Examinations Council of Eswatini has released timetables for the exams, which include the Eswatini General Certificate of Secondary Education, International General Certificate of Secondary Education, and Eswatini Prevocational Certificate of Secondary Education. These exams will run from October 6 to November 11.

The first paper to be written will be Additional Mathematics on October 6, while the final paper, history, is scheduled for November 11. Subjects such as design and technology, mathematics, and technical studies are among the early papers. Other subjects like accounting, English Language, literature in English, Siswati, physical science, geography, and history are spread across the following weeks.

The Junior Certificate final examinations will begin on October 19, with English Language paper 1 scheduled for the morning, followed by agriculture paper 1 in the afternoon. The final JC paper, development studies, is scheduled for November 9. The JC timetable includes major subjects such as mathematics, English Language, Siswati, science, geography, history, business studies, and religious education.

The Eswatini Primary School Assessment, formerly known as the Eswatini Primary Certificate, will run from November 2 to November 13. The two-week assessment period will begin with social studies paper 1 in the morning, followed by science paper 1 in the afternoon. Candidates will conclude their examinations with expressive arts, which is scheduled for the morning session.

The staggered timetables will require candidates, schools, and examination centers to manage preparations over an extended period. Examinations will be spread across several weeks rather than concentrated within a short examination window. This approach aims to distribute the examination process, allowing for a more manageable and organized experience for all parties involved.

According to the Examinations Council of Eswatini, the timetables have been carefully planned to accommodate various subjects and papers. The council has ensured that the examination periods are spaced out to minimize congestion and allow candidates sufficient time to prepare for each paper.

With the examination period approaching, learners across Eswatini are intensifying their preparations. Schools and examination centers are also gearing up to support the candidates, ensuring that they are well-equipped to handle the examinations. The Examinations Council of Eswatini has urged candidates to familiarize themselves with the timetables and plan accordingly.
