Leadway Group, a non-banking financial services and wellbeing conglomerate, has started the second edition of Leadway Cares Week, its annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and community engagement week. This year's program focuses on health, environmental sustainability, employee volunteering, and community partnerships. The initiative aims to build on the success of the inaugural edition, which saw employees and communities come together for various activities.

The second edition of Leadway Cares Week involves environmental sanitation, clean-up initiatives, tree-planting activities, and blood donation drives across more locations in Nigeria, including Lagos, Ondo, Kaduna, and Abuja. The program also extends to Côte d'Ivoire, with cross-border participation. These activities are designed to mobilize employees and partners around practical interventions that address health and environmental needs.

According to Tunde Hassan-Odukale, Group Chief Executive Officer of Leadway Holdings, the initiative highlights the importance of sustained social investment. He emphasized that Leadway's responsibility goes beyond business, and Leadway Cares is about creating opportunities for people and communities to grow and thrive.

Niyi Abiola, Head of Corporate Services at Leadway Group, noted that Leadway Cares Week allows the Group to translate its commitment to social responsibility into concerted action. Health remains a key focus of the 2026 program, with Leadway employees supporting efforts to improve blood availability through blood donation drives. Environmental sustainability also receives greater attention through tree planting, environmental sanitation, and coastal clean-up activities.
