Lashibi Community Senior High School is calling for increased public awareness and community support to improve its visibility, attract more students, and showcase its academic achievements ahead of its 1st Speech and Prize-Giving Day, scheduled for November 6, 2026. The school's management made the appeal during an engagement on Ahotor FM 92.3, where representatives discussed the institution's enrolment, infrastructure, discipline, academic performance, and plans to strengthen its relationship with the community.
The Assistant Headmistress in charge of Domestic Affairs, Miss Anastasia Grace Annie, expressed appreciation to Ahotor FM for providing the school with an opportunity to introduce itself to the general public and highlight its activities. She explained that her responsibilities include overseeing the school's infrastructure, buildings, and other properties to ensure they are properly maintained and kept in good condition.
The school's representatives expressed concern about limited public awareness of Lashibi Community Senior High School, despite its presence within the community. According to the school's representative, the institution currently has approximately 1,000 students, including about 600 first-year students, while efforts have also been made to secure additional placements for prospective students.
The representative noted that some residents occasionally see the school's buses and pickup vehicles on the roads but are unaware that the institution operates within the Lashibi community. He stressed the need for stronger publicity and improved visibility to ensure that more parents, guardians, and prospective students become aware of the school and the educational opportunities it offers.
Beyond enrolment and publicity, the school emphasised the importance of integrity, professionalism, teamwork, and discipline in achieving its educational objectives. The representative expressed optimism that students preparing for their final examinations would perform well and come out with flying colours.
Lashibi Community Senior High School will hold its 1st Speech and Prize-Giving Day on November 6, 2026, as part of efforts to celebrate students' achievements and strengthen the school's relationship with the wider community. Miss Annie said the event would provide an opportunity to bring greater attention to the institution, highlight its activities and achievements, and encourage stronger engagement with parents, guardians, residents, and other stakeholders.
The school's representatives called for stronger partnerships with stakeholders, particularly the media, to publicise the institution's activities, promote its achievements, and encourage community participation in its development. They expressed appreciation to Ahotor FM 92.3 for offering the school a platform to communicate directly with listeners and raise awareness of its work.
