The Department of Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs is advertising 146 assistant director posts in social development, making it among the largest single-ministry recruitments in this round. The Department of Public Service and Human Capital Development is also seeking 50 assistant directors in human resource management and development. Other ministries with vacancies include Mining, Cabinet Affairs, Correctional Services, Environment and Climate Change, Forestry, Gender, Co-operatives, Shipping and Maritime Affairs, and Petroleum departments.
Entry-level posts include shipping and maritime affairs officers, petroleum officers across multiple specialisations, metallurgists, social development officers, laboratory technologists, gemologists, and gemstone cutters. The Mining ministry is recruiting for geologist, superintendent, and inspector roles. Public universities also have vacancies, including four top-tier academic leadership positions.
Bomet University is seeking a vice chancellor in a re-advertisement, while Kenyatta University requires candidates for two deputy vice chancellor roles covering administration and finance as well as academic and student affairs. Makueni University College has also advertised for a principal. The PSC has warned applicants to be cautious of fraudsters impersonating commission staff and demanding payment.
The PSC does not charge any fee at any stage of the recruitment process, including application, shortlisting, interviews, or appointment.
