Rwanda's Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Fidelis Mironko, recently concluded a working visit to Kenya. During his visit, he engaged with officials at the National Defence College (NDC) and the Kenya School of Government (KSG). These meetings aimed to explore opportunities for deeper institutional cooperation and expertise exchange between Kenyan and Rwandan institutions. At the NDC in Karen, Ambassador Mironko and his delegation were briefed on the institution's strategic mandate, academic programs, and role in professional military education for senior leaders. The college has a history of training senior Rwandan military officers and civil servants. It has also hosted officials from various Rwandan ministries, departments, and agencies, contributing to regional capacity building and leadership development. This engagement highlighted the long-standing partnership between Kenya and Rwanda.

Discussions centered on implementing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between KSG and the Rwanda Management Institute. This MoU will facilitate cooperation through knowledge and experience sharing, professional training, capacity development, and institutional benchmarking. KSG Director General Prof. Nura Mohamed highlighted the school's role in strengthening public servants' capacity to deliver responsive and citizen-centered services.
Earlier in his visit, Ambassador Mironko visited the Foreign Service Academy, where he explored Kenya's experience in diplomatic training and professional development. The discussions focused on institutional benchmarking and opportunities for Rwanda to learn from Kenya's Foreign Service training framework. These engagements reflect the strong and longstanding partnership between Kenya and Rwanda, with both sides committed to deepening institutional linkages and cooperation.
