Kaduna state Governor Uba Sani has set a target of three million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. To facilitate grassroots mobilisation, he donated Toyota Highlander vehicles to All Progressives Congress (APC) local government chairmen in Zone 3. This zone corresponds to the Kaduna South Senatorial District and comprises eight local government areas. The donation aims to enhance the chairmen's mobility and campaign efforts.

Representing Governor Uba Sani at the handover ceremony was Sadiq Mamman Lagos. He stated that the vehicles would enable the chairmen to move around their local government areas and wards to campaign for the party ahead of the elections. Mamman Lagos described the donation as part of preparations for election campaigns, emphasizing the need for vehicles to facilitate movement and mobilisation at the grassroots level.

Kaduna's position among states with a large number of registered voters informed the party's expectation of securing three million votes for Tinubu. According to Mamman Lagos, Kaduna is ranked number three in the voters' register. This ranking underscores the state's significance in the APC's mobilisation efforts. The party expects to leverage Kaduna's substantial voter base to achieve its target.

Mamman Lagos urged voters in Northern Nigeria to allow Tinubu to complete his tenure. He argued that the South had supported the North's bid to produce former President Muhammadu Buhari, who served for eight years between 2015 and 2023. In his view, it is now the South's turn to complete its tenure. This, he believes, will promote fairness and reciprocity in the region's political dynamics.

Mamman Lagos called for the North to reciprocate the support it received from the South during Buhari's presidency. He suggested that allowing Tinubu to finish his tenure would demonstrate this reciprocity. Furthermore, he proposed that in the future, a younger, more intellectually inclined, and technocratic leader could emerge to lead the country. This leader, he added, should possess a deep understanding of Nigeria's cultural and religious landscape.

The Kaduna state APC chairman, Hon. Atiku Isaac Sankey, was present at the handover ceremony. The event highlighted Kaduna's strategic importance in the APC's mobilisation efforts. The state's political unity, particularly among its three senatorial zones, makes it an essential location for the party's campaign activities. Zone 3, which received the donated vehicles, is a critical area for the party's grassroots mobilisation.

The donation of vehicles to APC chairmen in Zone 3 is part of Governor Uba Sani's efforts to ensure a strong party presence at the grassroots level. By enhancing the mobility of party officials, the governor aims to boost the party's campaign efforts and ultimately achieve the target of three million votes for President Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
