Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has called on residents of Sabon Gari Local Government Area to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and the return of Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, citing their contributions to the area's development. Sani, represented by Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Abdulkadir Meyere, made the appeal during the flag-off of constituency projects and the commissioning of a 20-bed primary healthcare centre facilitated by Abbas.
The governor commended Abbas for prioritizing projects in education, healthcare, security, and infrastructure, describing them as significant contributions to the local government area's development. He urged residents to sustain their support for the All Progressives Congress, saying continuity in leadership would ensure the completion of ongoing projects and attract more development initiatives.
Abbas, who performed the groundbreaking ceremonies and commissioned the healthcare facility, said the projects aimed to address critical needs and expand access to essential services in the community. The projects include a 10-classroom block at Saidu Primary School, a proposed secondary school, a National Open University study centre, and a diagnostic centre at Isa Chikaji Primary Healthcare Centre.
The Speaker said the educational interventions would provide a conducive learning environment and create opportunities for pupils to continue their education beyond the primary level. He also highlighted the importance of the National Open University study centre and computer-based testing centre in expanding access to higher education and digital examinations.
On healthcare, Abbas said the diagnostic centre would improve access to medical investigations, while the newly commissioned 20-bed facility would strengthen primary healthcare delivery. He emphasized the need for qualified personnel, reliable services, and an effective referral system to ensure quality care.
The proposed police station at the Queen Elizabeth Area Command would strengthen security operations and improve emergency response, according to Abbas. He commended Tinubu, Sani, and other stakeholders for supporting efforts to promote development and improve security in the state.
The member representing Sabon Gari Federal Constituency, Sadiq Ango Abdullahi, praised Abbas for facilitating several projects and empowerment programmes for his constituents, including motorcycles, grinding machines, and financial assistance to support small-scale businesses. Abbas assured residents of his continued commitment to facilitating development projects and providing legislative oversight.
