Jetour Nigeria is set to launch its latest sport utility vehicle, the T1, in Abuja as part of its efforts to expand its presence in Nigeria's growing SUV market. The company will host the three-day Jetour Experience Abuja from September 22 to 24, 2026, at the Maha Event Centre in Area 8, Garki. This event follows a successful outing in Lagos and aims to provide prospective customers with an opportunity to experience the T1 through product demonstrations and test drives.

The decision to move the experience to Abuja was driven by the response recorded during the Lagos edition and increasing interest in the brand from residents of the Federal Capital Territory. According to Jetour Nigeria, the Lagos edition saw strong participation, extensive test drives, and significant sales enquiries, while growing demand from Abuja residents influenced the decision to bring the experience to the nation's capital.

The T1 is designed to combine off-road capability with the comfort and technology required for everyday urban driving. The vehicle measures 4,705mm in length, 1,967mm in width, and 1,843mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,800mm. It is available with 1.5-litre turbocharged and 2.0-litre turbocharged powertrain options, with the latter developing up to 254 horsepower and 390Nm of torque.

The T1 features a range of advanced technologies, including BorgWarner XWD Intelligent four-wheel drive and either a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission. Its off-road credentials include 199mm of ground clearance, a 600mm wading depth, and 28-degree approach and departure angles. The vehicle also features a 15.6-inch high-definition touchscreen and an eight-speaker audio system.

Safety and driver-assistance technology are central to the T1, with the vehicle built around an 85 per cent high-strength steel chassis and equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). The ADAS package includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Warning, and Autonomous Emergency Braking. The T1 also offers 574 litres of rear luggage capacity.

Jetour Nigeria currently has seven accredited dealers, including Elizade Nigeria Limited, New Era AutoVehicle Services Limited, and R.T. Briscoe Motors. The company aims to provide customers with access to vehicle sales, genuine spare parts, and comprehensive after-sales maintenance services as it expands its national footprint. Jetour Nigeria has received several local and international automotive recognitions since its entry into the market.

With the Abuja event, Jetour is seeking to deepen engagement with customers outside Lagos while giving prospective buyers an opportunity to assess the T1's performance and technology first-hand. The three-day experience will place particular emphasis on test drives and direct interaction with the vehicle, allowing visitors to evaluate its combination of urban driving features and off-road capabilities.
