Jetour Nigeria and its network of seven authorised dealers recently took the brand's Dashing compact SUV and other models to motorists in Abuja as part of efforts to expand its presence in Nigeria's competitive automotive market. The event, known as the Jetour Experience Abuja, provided prospective vehicle buyers and automobile enthusiasts with an opportunity to interact directly with Jetour dealers and product specialists.
The three-day event, held from September 22 to 24, 2026, offered visitors the opportunity to experience the vehicles through test drives and product demonstrations. This gave potential customers a closer look at the brand's growing range of vehicles. The participating authorised dealers included Elizade Nigeria Limited, Kojo Motors, Mandilas Autos, Germaine Auto Centre, R.T. Briscoe, Tab Autos, and New Era Auto Vehicle Services Limited.
A major attraction at the event was the Jetour Dashing, which recently won the 2025 Nigeria Auto Journalists Association (NAJA) Car of the Year Award. The showcase of the Dashing in Abuja formed part of Jetour Nigeria's strategy to increase awareness of the model and strengthen the brand's position in the Nigerian compact SUV market.
The Dashing has attracted attention in Nigeria's increasingly competitive compact SUV segment, where manufacturers are seeking to combine technology, styling, performance, and affordability to appeal to a growing pool of motorists. The SUV is offered with 1.5-litre and 1.6-litre turbocharged engine options, with outputs of up to 145kW of power and 290Nm of torque.
Depending on the variant, the engines are paired with six- or seven-speed dual-clutch transmissions. Jetour said the Dashing is also equipped with a range of technology and convenience features designed to enhance the driving and ownership experience. These features include a 15.6-inch central touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and smartphone integration.
The vehicle's safety and driver-assistance features include a 360-degree surround-view camera, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and blind-spot detection, alongside multiple airbags. The company said the Abuja Experience was not solely focused on vehicle sales but was also designed to strengthen direct engagement between the brand, its dealers, and customers.
The seven authorised dealers form part of Jetour Nigeria's nationwide retail and support network, providing customers with access to warranty services, genuine spare parts, and after-sales support in their respective locations. With Abuja serving as an important commercial and administrative centre and a gateway to several northern markets, increased activity in the FCT could provide Jetour with a platform for further expansion across the region.
