The "IPO Educational Project of the Year 2025" was presented during the IPO World Congress, which took place in Budva, Montenegro, from October 2-3, 2026. This global event brought together security and law enforcement professionals to discuss pressing issues such as hybrid threats, terrorism, and organisational risk management.
The award recognises IPO Kenya's contributions to education, professional development, and knowledge sharing through its training and capacity-building programmes. According to IPO Kenya, over 3,000 participants have benefited from its programmes, including more than 2,000 law enforcement and county enforcement personnel, as well as students, teachers, and other community stakeholders.
A significant part of IPO Kenya's programme involved capacity-building initiatives with the Nairobi City County Inspectorate. These initiatives targeted cadets, commanders, inspectors, and enforcement officers, covering topics such as leadership, professional standards, integrity, and accountability. The organisation also partnered with the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse on substance abuse awareness and educational programmes.
IPO Kenya's programmes have extended beyond law enforcement to engage with the broader community. The organisation collaborated with LifeCare Hospitals on wellness and medical initiatives for law enforcement personnel and their families, focusing on physical and mental wellbeing. These efforts reflect IPO Kenya's commitment to enhancing the lives of its members and the communities it serves.
Dipesh Luhar, representing IPO Section Kenya, received the award on behalf of the Kenya section. During the congress, Luhar met with the Mayor of the Municipality of Budva, Nikola Jovanovic, and engaged with international delegates and security professionals. The World Congress was held under the theme "People • Partnership • Prevention – A Safer Tomorrow".
The President of IPO Section Kenya emphasised that the award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of its members, trainers, partners, and participating institutions.
